SOAR: Dev Log #1

Hey ! So since this is my first project I figured I'd try my hand at these, so here's a general Dev Log thing where I just talk about SOAR and what went by since last time.

First of all, while it may not be big numbers, hot damn I did not expect to have about 170 people view this page let alone 70 or so people download it, it means a lot to me and hopefully I'll keep making those numbers grow as I keep updating this game.

Which, speaking of, lets talk about something: What's next for SOAR ?

Well, first of all, we're not nearly done with it, wanted to make this clear, there's still bits and pieces missing and some bits that ARE there are placeholders (hello the advancement section).
Immediately, when it comes to stuff I know I will work on, there's a few things I can say are on the horizon.
-Each stance will get a new style, namely Fire Style for Unarmed (focusing on buffing your Defense and moving around a fair bit), Spider Style for One Handed (a one handed sword spinning attack stance), Demolisher Style for Two Handed Weapon (This one will be focusing on blunt attacks that deal a fair bit of damage at exact range) and Gambler Style for Gun (all about rolling d6 for random effects).
-A lot more stuff to make up a city to play in, a system of faction generation as well with unique tags for what they specialize in, I was also thinking some way to roll to create a city district by district by random rolls.
-At LEAST two more playbooks, a handful more gear and consumables, key items and whatnot.
-More foes, specifically more elites and bosses.
-A lot of changes already to what's already there, I already got a notepad doc that has lots and lots of notes and it keeps growing every day with people giving me feedback.

So that's a lot of stuff on my end, but on top of that I'm getting some cool art by some very talented people down the line as well, which oughta help make this whole thing truly pop, I am still thinking on an actual proper cover art piece, and I have asked artists to send me commission info in general, make sure to tell them to get into contact if you know anyone who would be interested on doing art for SOAR btw.

Near future however, I think I want to let this sit a bit, see what data I get from playtest as is and how it all feels to avoid wasting effort on design and whatnot (don't want to spend days obsessing over something if it turns out a key base of the system is off).

So that's our first dev log done I guess, I don't know if this is the type of stuff people are interested in, maybe in a future one I can talk a bit about some design decisions I've made in SOAR and why I'm doing them like this.
